Opportunity for High School Graduates

The Northside Association for Educational Advancement (NAEA) is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2026 academic year. This opportunity is open to African American high school seniors in Kalamazoo County who are preparing to pursue higher education.

Scholarship Requirements

Applicants must submit the following through the NAEA Vera Owens Scholarship Application:

• High school transcript with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0

• A written explanation of financial need, along with your goals and future plans

• A summary of your school and community involvement
